Tony Hung (洪永城) was the latest guest on Miriam Yeung’s (楊千嬅) Youtube show where she invites guests to cook and chat. The topic for this episode was talking about the pros and cons of working with your significant other in the work place. Miriam Yeung’s husband, Real Ting (丁子高), is her manager and work partner as they have a management company together.
Miriam Yeung divulged that it’s sometimes hard to maintain a balance between work and family. She revealed Real Ting would sometimes use his tone of voice when speaking to his wife while working. There would be some issues with his tone of voice and not have any ending sounds (尾音). Miriam Yeung said she would be the bigger person and not say anything, but she would put on a stank face.” The couple tries not to bring work back home. When they have a difference of opinions over work matters, Miriam Yeung expressed that once they go home and see their son, Torres, they would calm down.
As for Tony Hung’s experience, he said his ex-girlfriend didn’t mind that he had kissing scenes as she understood this was part of his work. The only thing she cared about was the media writing badly about her because of his dating rumors. Miriam Yeung then asked if he would be unhappy if she had dating rumors. Tony Hung responded he would ask around at the company about the relationship between his girlfriend and her rumored boyfriend. His questioning revolved around: “Oh really? They ate together? They drove home together after work? They were really happy while filming on set? Do they really match? They are really intimate?”
When he returned home, he would question his girlfriend, “How was it filming with that male lead today? I heard people say you guys filmed it really well…” Miriam Yeung’s response was, “You asked like that, no wonder you guys split up!”, and said his line of questioning was stupid.
As someone with experience on dating in the workplace, Tony Hung suggests to keep work and personal lives separate. While Tony Hung didn’t say it was Natalie Tong (唐詩詠), the only girlfriend he ever dated at TVB all points to her. The two broke up in 2017 after dating for two and a half years. As for his relationship with his current girlfriend, Inez Leong, he says their relationship is very stable and will have a very wonderful future.
