On March 24, a netizen by the name of “MMAQL” released an 11 second video of a man and woman intimately kissing on a bed. “MMAQL” posted subsequent posts identifying the man was former UNINE member, Yao Bonan (姚柏南), formerly known as Yao Mingming (姚明明). In a separate post, she uploaded another video showing a frontal view of the man from the first video and tagged Yao Bonan with the caption, “Long time no see, Mingming.” In one of her posts, she said, “So up until now, you still won’t apologize to me, right? You rather create a persona on your own Weibo to sever [our] relations. Okay.”
“MMAQL”and Yao Mingming immediately trended on Weibo. Yao Mingming issued a statement shortly afterwards, saying, “Never contacted in 5 years, I never thought something that happened from a relationship in 2016 would be recorded like this and would be exposed in this format today. Perhaps I didn’t know how to express and handle the relationship properly. All this time, I didn’t know the pain I caused to the other party. Right now the spreading of the secretly filmed video causes even greater harm to women. No matter what, I am extremely sorry. Because of my own personal matters, it took up public resources. Sorry for causing trouble for everyone. Once again, I solemnly apologize to everyone.”
Yao Bonan’s management company, One Cool Jasco, issued a statement saying that Yao Bonan is currently single. They also explained Yao Bonan’s relationship status prior to his debut is his privacy and it wasn’t appropriate for the company to disclose it. They also asked people to stop spreading the video as it infringes on Yao Bonan’s privacy. “MMAQL” has since deleted the videos of Yao Bonan on her page, but they have already been spread by other accounts. The top comment on Yao Bonan’s apology post with over 97,000 likes, said, “Your kissing skills are amazing.”
What was the point of this? His ex is so petty. 5- 6 years later after their relationship she posts this. Secretly video taping someone is wrong and illegal. He can sue her for this.
I really hope he sues her. Also, I don’t think she’s actually he’s ex because in the recent news posted by this website, the girl said if he (another man) wasn’t so heartless, she wouldn’t go look for YMM. I’m thinking she’s using him and filmed this because she knows this will be advantageous in the future. YMM so passionate about being a singer and she knows about that and tried ruining it.
