Hong Kong actress, Jennifer Yu (余香凝), announced the birth of her first child, a baby girl, on May 23. Jennifer Yu posted a picture of her baby on Instagram and revealed her name is Clare, weighing at 6.5 lbs. She got married in November 2020 to her non-industry boyfriend and announced she was pregnant on Christmas.

Jennifer Yu wrote, “Welcome home baby Clare. Others say that you can’t praise babies or else they will be spoiled, but let me praise her a bit. I must praise the baby for not wasting mommy’s efforts in crazily eating to nurse the pregnancy and got fat. Must also praise the baby for extremely being cooperative. On the 3rd day after the C-section, she started feeding, I was able to breastfeed her until she was full. I must also praise daddy for always accompanying mommy, waiting on mommy, and both eye bags are already showing. Baby, as long as you are healthy and happy from now on, mommy will already be satisfied. There is nothing more important than you in this world. Love you.”

Speaking with Oriental Daily News, Jennifer Yu said, “Very happy. The baby was born healthily. I was previously worried about the baby’s weight because before giving birth, we had a check up and the baby was only 5.5 lbs. When she was born, she was 6.5 lbs, so I’m really happy. The baby looks exactly like daddy. She’s really pretty. She already had eyelashes since she was born. I was the most worried she would have very little eyelashes like me. Her eyes are really big!”
