Chinese survival shows were banned by the government back in 2021 due to the milk pouring incident stemming from fan voting for iQIYI’s “Youth With You 3”. The last Chinese survival show group that debuted and disbanded was “CHUANG 2021’s” INTO1.

However, on July 14, it was revealed Tencent’s overseas brand, WeTV, announced they were producing an international girl group survival show called, “CHUANG ASIA”. Filming will take place in Thailand and is welcomed to females born before 2008 of all nationalities to apply. The show is currently taking applications until the end of October. Filming is set to start sometime in December 2023.
