Gillian Chung (鍾欣潼) of Hong Kong duo, Twins, had her first wedding celebration with Taiwanese-born fiancé, Michael Lai (賴弘國) in Los Angeles in May of this year.  As it turns out, the two hadn’t applied for a marriage certificate until now, which is why Michael Lai is still technically her fiancé.  The marriage application also revealed Gillian Chung (b. 1981) is actually eight years older than Michael Lai (b. 1989).  The proof of address for each person shows a Hong Kong and Taiwan address.

As for the wedding details, Gillian Chung announced today, “I am very happy to finally submit the marriage application.  I can reveal the signing date will be December 18 and the wedding banquet will be on December 20.  Right now, we’re busy preparing for the wedding and going through the invites.  I’m really happy to be spending such an important day with friends and family.  I am really happy right now.  Thank you everyone!”

Michael Lai has a bit of fame in Taiwan for his close resemblance to Taiwanese actor, Sunny Wang (王陽明) and for being a good looking doctor.  He was previously married to a flight attendant from China Airlines with the nickname, “China Airlines Ariel Lin.”  The two dated for two years before tying the knot in April 2016.  However, the marriage was short-lived as the two announced they were divorced in October of the same year.
