Taiwanese actress, Ivy Chen (陳意涵), gave birth to her first child, a son on February 9th. Ivy Chen shared the good news on her Facebook account with the following message: “The puzzle is finished. You are also here. I am called “Xiao Chu”, hello world.”

Ivy Chen is married to Taiwanese director, Hsu Fu Hsiang (許富翔), who is known for directing the series, “The Way We Were” (6個夏天). The two started dating in 2017 and announced their pregnancy almost a year after being together. The couple registered their marriage on August 27, 2018, known as Chinese Valentine’s Day.

Good friend and fellow actress, Janine Chang (張鈞甯), congratulated Ivy Chen on Weibo saying: “Welcome! Waited for you for so long!” Many netizens left comments on the post rushing Janine Chang to get married. Ivy Chen had once shared the story about how she revealed her pregnancy to Janine Chang. She revealed, “She cried for about an hour on the plane. Because we were flying together, I secretly told her. She cried all the way back to Taipei. Those unbeknownst to the news would think I was breaking up with her.”
