Japanese model and actress, Kiko Mizuhara (水原希子), primarily known as the ex-girlfriend of K-Pop artist, G-Dragon, outside of Japan, was in Cannes a few days ago for the 72nd Annual Cannes Film Festival. While Kiko Mizuhara enjoyed her time there, she vented on Twitter about a very discomforting incident she encountered while she was in France. On the 17th, she tweeted, “The Uber driver asked me what I do for work. I said “actress.” He immediately asked me if I was filming pornography.” Kiko Mizuhara felt disrespected by the driver’s words, which prompted her to share the experience publicly.

Netizens also felt the driver was rude for asking that question. However, there were a portion of netizens that felt the adult film industry should deserve respect. Kiko Mizuhara received some criticism and flack for her words, which some construed as demeaning to the adult film industry. In response to the criticism, Kiko Mizuhara tweeted again saying that there are no classes in job professions. She also clarified she was not discriminating against adult video (AV) film actresses and hope people don’t misunderstand. She said she was simply sharing the experience she had in a confined environment in the car, that all of a sudden, a man asking her that question made her feel scared and disgusted.
