Michelle Chen (陳妍希) and husband, Chen Xiao (陈晓), started dating in 2015 after meeting on the film set “The Romance of the Condor Heroes” (神雕侠侣). The two got married in 2016 and had their son, Chen Muchen, the same year. Since then, Michelle Chen had taken a step back from her career to care for her family. She recently graced the TV screens again by joining the second season of “Sisters Who Make Waves 2” (乘風破浪的姐姐 2).
On the most recent episode, fellow contestant, Joey Yung (容祖兒), asked Michelle Chen about her relationship with Chen Xiao. Michelle Chen revealed she and Chen Xiao already had feelings for each other when they were filming “The Romance of the Condor Heroes”. However, they didn’t date until a year later when they started doing promotions for the series. Their feelings for each other felt different this time.
On the first day of seeing each other again, Chen Xiao told Michelle Chen, “He basically said I am very suitable to be his wife. He said, ‘I think you are like my wife.’…Hearing him say that, I was very happy. That was probably the happiest day of my life.”
