Discussions were recently circulating around a sweater Ju Jingyi (鞠婧祎) wore in her currently filming series, “Love Under the Full Moon” (满月之下请相爱). Many netizens noticed the GUCCI sweater she wore looked different than the actual product and compared it to a similar one that Yang Mi previously wore. Shortly after, netizens started suspecting Ju Jingyi was wearing a counterfeit product.

Due to the heated debate, Ju Jingyi’s stylist responded to the accusations. She explained she bought the sweater for Ju Jingyi’s wardrobe in the series from an overseas reseller that she worked with before. After reflecting back on the shopping process, she realized there were some issues. She said she is currently working with the seller to uncover the origins of the sweater. She apologized to Ju Jingyi and her team for the trouble caused and said she was willing to accept all the responsibility and consequences as a result of this incident.

The production crew made a statement saying they immediately investigated the issue once they found out about the issue and will announce the results as soon as possible. They also apologized to Ju Jingyi and her team for the negligence and oversight in the wardrobe incident. Ju Jingyi’s studio also released a statement saying the production crew has already started investigating it and to refer to the official statement as accurate and not to spread any unconfirmed news.
