TVB actress and Miss Hong Kong 2012’s “Miss Photogenic”, Jennifer Shum (岑杏賢), announced she is 5 months pregnant on May 9, which lands on Mother’s Day this year. Jennifer Shum is known for playing “Icy” in “Come Home Love: Lo and Behold” (愛回家之開心速遞). Her recent departure from the series last month had many people wondering if she was being written off or if she was pregnant. At the time, Jennifer Shum was mum on the pregnancy rumors and said she would announce it if she had good news to share.

Jennifer Shum wrote a message in English and Chinese. She thanked her mother saying she is her biggest role model and has lot to learn from her in the future. Jennifer Shum didn’t reveal the sex of the baby, but revealed to Oriental Daily News, “I’m very happy now carrying the baby. Touching my belly everyday and seeing it grow bigger day by day…In the beginning of the pregnancy, I was vomiting and nauseous. I especially liked eating candy, but had to try my best to restrain myself…My husband and I know the sex of the baby, but haven’t revealed it to my girlfriends. I might tell them the next time we meet up!”

In an interview with TVB’s Entertainment News Channel, Jennifer Shum revealed she chose to announce it Mother’s Day as they had just finished with the all the checks up and confirmed everything is normal with the baby. She also revealed the baby was planned and is extremely grateful. Jennifer Shum and her husband got married last November in a private wedding.
