Cheng Xiao (程潇) is a cast member on the MangoTV variety show, “Boom! Heart” (扑通扑通的心), where they combine scenes from sitcoms and idol dramas to recreate popular social situations and problems young people face today through a new and innovative sitcom model. Each episode, the guests talk about a “love topic”.
In episode 9 that aired on August 16, Liu Ye (刘烨), a HunanTV host said she feels a lot of young people have a scary view about dating nowadays. They think dating is troublesome and therefore, don’t want to date. Shen Mengchen points out Cheng Xiao also feels the same way.
Cheng Xiao agreed and explained having to be considerate of the other person’s feelings and take care of a lot of things about the other party, “I would think that it’s actually quite bothersome.”
Shen Mengchen (沈梦辰) asks Cheng Xiao if she is dating, would she be the type that is taken care of. Cheng Xiao says, “I hope I am.” Shen Mengchen, asks, “Because you’re afraid of [being] bothered.” Cheng Xiao responds, “There’s that too. I just think…there will definitely be sweet and happy moments, but there are definitely more things to [worry about] compared to when you’re by yourself.”
