Miriam Yeung (楊千嬅) and her husband, Real Ting (丁子高), have been staying long term in Shanghai due to their growth in popularity thanks to their participation in the Chinese variety show, “Viva La Romance 3” (妻子的浪漫旅行3). In order not to be separated from their 9 year old son, Torres, the entire family quietly moved to Shanghai in April this year.
In the past, Miriam Yeung would travel between Hong Kong and mainland China for work. Due to the pandemic and her increased workload in the mainland, it’s said the family decided to permanently move to Shanghai. It’s reported Torres is currently studying at a prestigious school where the tuition is around 280,000 RMB a year grades 1-4.
Miriam Yeung spoke to the media about the reports about the family moving the base from Hong Kong to Shanghai. She clarified, “Not moving houses. My home is still in Hong Kong, so I will be coming back. Because I picked up some jobs in the mainland, so I will complete it as planned.”
As for Real Ting and Torres also staying in Shanghai, Miriam Yeung explained, “Mr. Ting has a company in Hong Kong and will be flying back and forth. The son will definitely stay by my side. I don’t want to be apart from him long term. I would miss him so much. So he is temporarily attending school here.” As for why they chose Shanghai, Miriam Yeung explained Real Ting’s family are in Shanghai and would be convenient to look after each other.
