One of the world’s most shipped on-screen and later real-life couple, Hyun Bin and Son Ye-jin, are getting married! The good news was announced by Hyun Bin’s agency, Vast Entertainment, and Son Ye-jin on February 10.
While it was their hit Korean drama, “Crash Landing On You”, that led to to many fans shipping them as a real life couple, Hyun Bin and Son Ye-jin were first rumored to be dating in 2018 after working on the film, “The Negotiation”. In January 2019, Hyun Bin and Son Ye-jin were spotted shopping together at a supermarket in the US. Dating rumors started circulating, but both parties denied it. Son Ye-jin’s company said she was solo traveling, while Hyun Bin’s camp said he was in the US for work.
After filming “Crash Landing On You”, the dating speculations continued to spread, but both parties continued to deny them and claim they were just friends. It wasn’t until January 1, 2021 that Hyun Bin and Son Yejin admitted they were dating after Korea’s leading paparazzi outlet, Dispatch, exposed they were dating for 8 months already.
In a recent interview with Yoo Jae-suk in which she was asked about her first love, Son Ye-jin responded, “My current romance is first love.” After going public with their relationship, Hyun Bin was also once asked in an interview if he would want to go back during any time period if he had a machine. Hyun Bin responded, “No, I like the present as it is.”
Hyun Bin’s company, VAST Entertainment revealed the wedding is planned for March. However, as the two are very private and with the increased COVID cases in Korea, only family and close friends are invited to the ceremony.
