Miss Hong Kong 2012 winner, Carat Cheung (張名雅), signed with TVB after winning the pageant. Since joining TVB, she has mostly done hosting jobs. Carat Cheung graduated from the University of British Columbia in Canada. She got married to her lawyer husband in 2016 and have two sons.

Carat Cheung previously mentioned that she might not be renewing her contract as she has a lot of plans she wants to carry out, like holding tutoring and interest classes and even become a singer.

On February 6, Carat Cheung announced she was leaving TVB after almost 10 years. She said, “In a blink of an eye, it’s almost 10 years. The experiences from entering the industry is still vivid in my mind. My attitude at the time was to try it out since I already graduated college. I also returned to Hong Kong from Canada. If I don’t try it then I won’t ever do it. So my mom nominated me to join Miss Hong Kong. If I have a daughter later on, then I can give her the champion, first runner up, and second runner up crowns I have to her (Miss Hong Kong champion, Miss Chinese Vancouver first runner up, Miss Chinese International second runner up). Am I a beauty pageant queen? No, just that I do what I want to do. From now on, I can do what I like to do and continue sharing and seeing everyone. I hope there will be good news to share with everyone in the near future. Lastly, I want to thank everyone at the company who has helped me before. Brothers and sisters, see you in jianghu.”
