The cast of TVB’s “Come Home Love: Lo and Behold” (愛.回家之開心速遞) attended a promotional event for Earth Day on April 22. Due to Hong Kong’s previous COVID surge, TVB had to halt filming and introduced their own “bubble” to continue working while the city was under strict restrictions.
On the April 21st episode, netizens complained there were very little actors and contained the episode was a compilation of mostly memories. They questioned whether the series doesn’t have any stock episodes on hand. Joyce Tang (滕麗名) said in an interview, “It’s not that we don’t have stock. This episode was filmed when the pandemic was the most serious. The crew used the least amount of actors to film this episode for the safety of everyone. There were only 4 actors. Even the cameraperson had to be an extra. The least was only using 3 actors in one episode.”
As for mentioning Stanley Cheung (張景淳) being suspended indefinitely from filming for “Come Home Love: Love and Behold”, there were rumors his on-screen partner, Koni Lui (呂慧儀), had been pleading for his return to the cast. In response to the rumors, Koni Lui said, “Of course I did, I always tell Dad (Lau Dan) to help because the executive I’m closest to is Dan Yeh (劉丹). I hope he returns soon. Let’s all look forward to it.”
Stanley Cheung had revealed back in a live during December 2021 that he would be temporarily leaving the show without a return date. When fans asked him the reason, Stanley Cheung said he didn’t know. There were rumors Stanley Cheung and co-star, Mandy Lam Suk-man, showed up late to work often, which led to TVB executive, Catherine Tsang, to go on set and give them a scolding.
