On December 29, Yang Zi (杨紫) and Fan Chengcheng (范丞丞) were announced as the leads of new modern romance drama, “Stories of Youth and Love” (199爱) and started filming at 9:09 am. The timing coincides with the Chinese name of the series, “199 Love”, where 9 in Chinese culture is associated with longevity.
This is Yang Zi and Fan Chengcheng’s first time collaborating. Yang Zi plays, “Huang Yingzi” and Fan Chengcheng plays, “Jiang Yi”. Along with 4 four other kids, they become friends after an accident that occurred in a factory area. The group of six grow up becoming good friends all the way up until college. However, due to an accident during the year they have to take the gaokao, they all go their separate ways. Years later when they’re all 30, they receive a wedding invitation from one of their good friends. This event becomes an opportunity for “Huang Yingzi” who has always hoped the group could reunite once again.
