A bunch of actors from the TVB anniversary series, “Life on the Line” (跳躍生命線) were at an elementary school today playing basketball with the students to promote the series.  Along with good word of mouth, the average ratings for the first week was 26.9 points, beating out TVB’s other heavy hitter series, “Another Era,” which only averaged 21.3 points during the same week.  Joe Ma (馬德鐘) hopes the series can reach past 30 points and be the highest rated locally produced Hong Kong series.  Arnold Kwok (郭子豪) is ready to take off his clothes to thank the audience if either one happens.

When reporters asked if Joe Ma had confidence in getting award, he said of course and taps Matthew Ho’s (何廣沛) shoulder.  He says, “He will definitely get an award.”  When asked what award Matthew Ho will get, he says, “Most Improved Artist” and “Top 5 nominees for Best Actor Award.”  Once Matthew Ho heard this, he is astonished and says, “With you here, I can’t even get in the gates, definitely won’t get nominated.”

When reporters asked Joe Ma how he felt about getting awards, he says, “Getting an award definitely a happy thing, but I won’t dare to hope.  I really thank everyone for their support.”

  1. I hope Matthew Ho wins an award. He’s a pretty good actor. He can do both period dramas and modern ones. Good to see Joe Ma in a TVB series again. TVB needs to bring back more veteran actors who can act Lol
