Chinese actor, Korn Kong (孔垂楠), was caught in a scandal when someone claiming to be his serious girlfriend leaked information about his personal matters on October 20. She wrote a long post making claims that their relationship was at the point where they had already met each other’s parents and had decided to get married at the end of this year. She also mentioned she was sick at one point and revealed, “The doctor told me I had contracted a very hard to cure illness. I am a clean girl, so I quickly told him to get tested. After the test results came out, he was also positive. He admitted he transmitted it to me.”
The girlfriend, whose last name is Zhang, also alleges that Korn Kong often has hook ups and revealed, “Under my forced interrogation, he admitted he slept with two she-males.” She says she already had a mild form of depression, but it got more severe with everything that happened. She also tried to commit suicide twice, but was saved.
Zhang makes a lot of claims against Korn Kong, saying he is a cheater, used drugs before, and said, “Lied to me and said we were getting married, he disappeared now. How can he appear in front of everyone with a bright and positive image?” She also uploaded a recording of her saying, “I didn’t lie. No one is willing to show their heart wounds for everyone to see. Maybe you guys think I am trying to cause drama, but I don’t want to be popular. I just want to settle down and find someone to marry and live my days.”
Studio issues statement
Korn Kong’s studio issued a statement the same day and said, “After investigating, before Ms. Zhang and Korn Kong dated, she already had depression. Her emotions are not stable. After they started dating, Ms. Zhang didn’t agree with Korn Kong’s nature of work as an artist. The two would often argue over this. While they were dating, she would often feel insecure towards love. She would often have delusional thoughts about his messy personal life and him doing a lot of immoral actions. She became convinced about these delusional thoughts and even tried to threaten Korn Kong to give up his entertainment career or she would kill herself.”
The studio also expressed that the relationship troubles worsened Zhang’s condition. They also apologized for taking up public resources because of Korn Kong’s personal life. They also said, “We will place Ms. Zhang’s personal safety as the most important consideration factor when making any decisions. Hope everyone can give them space and allow them to privately settle their relationship matters.”
Korn Kong suspends work activities
Korn Kong also issued his own statement saying, “Because of my relationship issues, it brought adverse effects to the public, I am deeply shamed and apologetic. I announce I will suspend all my entertainment career work and events. I will use enough time to solve my personal matters, minimize the damage caused to both parties and our families. Once again, expressing my apologies to everyone!”
