Chinese actor Wayne Liu (刘芮麟) is signed under Yang Mi’s agency, Jaywalk Studio. Back in July, he was revealed to be dating his co-star from “Eternal Love” (三生三世十里桃花), Daisy (代斯), when they were caught by paparazzi. However, they were revealed to have broken up after Wayne Liu apologized for messaging a fan and asking her to hook up.
An Introduction to the Men of “Eternal Love of Dream”
The female fan revealed a series of messages between her and Wayne Liu that happened around early November. He had added her on WeChat and asked her not to tell anyone as he isn’t supposed to be replying to private messages. When she asks him why he decided to reply to her, he responded, “Because you have a nice body.”
At one point, Wayne Liu reportedly sends an audio message asking the fan to visit him in Nanjing because he wants to see her in person. When the fan asks him if he was available, he says, “During the day, no, but there will be definitely time at night.” Later on, he reveals he had already broken up with his girlfriend, which is said to be Daisy. When the fan asks him why they broke up, Wayne Liu declines to delve further. When the fan says he doesn’t seem to have gotten over the break up, he changes the subject.
From a message that was sent on November 14, he asked the fan, “I want to ask. Are you the type of girl that only dates and doesn’t hook up?” The fan is taken aback and asks why he would ask that. Wayne Liu replies, “I must know in the event you come looking for me and we have sex and then I don’t take responsibility, you yell at me, how bad would this be.”
She replies back, “I’m not that old fashioned, but I am not that casual either. I am not a girl that randomly hooks up or easily dates.” Wayne Liu responds, “I thought you weren’t a girl that easily hooks up, so I wanted to be clear. I don’t plan to date right now. If you accept and want to have fun, then you can come look for me. If you can’t, then let’s set up another time. Don’t want to hurt you.” When the fan tried to respond back the next day, it was revealed she was blocked already. That’s when she exposed all the messages.
After the news went viral, Wayne Liu issued an apology saying, “I am very sorry. I have to say sorry to everyone. Very, very sorry! Because I ended a relationship in the beginning of October, I haven’t adjusted my emotions. Once again, I apologize to that girl here. Because of my personal matters, I affected the public, I am especially sorry. I will self reflect well. From here on, I will be more careful with my words and cautious with my behavior and maturely handle my personal matters.”
