Linda Chung (鍾嘉欣) temporarily bid adieu to her acting career when she started a family six years ago. During her hiatus, she did make a guest appearance in the 2018 series, “Another Era”. She recently returned to Hong Kong to start filming a new TVB series called“Kids Lives Matter” (星空下的仁醫). The cast includes Kenneth Ma (馬國明), Kevin Cheng (鄭嘉穎), and Him Law (羅仲謙).

Frankie Lam Talks about Reuniting with Linda Chung for TVB Series “Another Era”

When asked why she decided to return to TVB after not filming for so long, Linda Chung said, “It has been 6 years since I have starred in a series. The last time was “Another Era”, but it was only a guest appearance that was filmed in 10 days. This time is the first starring role in 6 years.” On what made her return to TVB to film, Linda Chung said, “I really didn’t think I would be back so soon to film here. I thought I would only come back when my kids are grown, but before receiving the script, the theme was about pediatric hospital. I’m a mom now and secondly, I’ve always really wanted to film with Kevin Cheng and Kenneth Ma. I’ve mentioned it before in previous interviews too.”

Linda Chung Reveals What Enticed Her to Return to TVB to Film Again

Linda Chung revealed she had originally planned for her children to come to Hong Kong while she films in Hong Kong for four months. The plans were canceled due to the spike in COVID cases in Hong Kong. Linda Chung revealed she was a bit sad one time when her scheduled Facetime calls with her family were interrupted due to the filming schedule. She revealed, “We had a table read one time. I shared pictures of my kids with the cast members and then suddenly I started crying. All the new cast members I’ve never worked with asked what happened. I told them not to tell anyone!” Linda Chung also revealed that she has these down moments from time to time because she was supposed to be reunited with her kids, but can’t now because of the pandemic.
