EVERGLOW's Wang Yiren and Kim Si-hyeon Test Positive for COVID-19

South Korea is one of several countries experiencing a “third” or even “fourth” wave of the coronavirus pandemic. A few South Korean celebrities and industry workers have tested positive for the virus, which led to shutdowns on projects. Unfortunately, YUE HUA Entertainment announced on December 1 that two members of Korean girl group, EVERGLOW, have tested positive for COVID-19.

According to a statement from YUE HUA Entertainment, Chinese member, Wang Yiren, was notified after recently coming into contact with someone who had tested positive for COVID-19. She went to get tested, which resulted in her testing positive. As a result, the other members of EVERGLOW also went to get tested. Out of the 5 members, Kim Si-hyeon also tested positive for COVID-19.

While the other four members were negative, YUE HUA Entertainment says they will undergo a two week quarantine period. They will also review the company’s health and safety preventative measures are sufficient.
