Bridgette Qiao Xin (乔欣) was trending on Weibo on December 14 when paparazzi snapped a video of her with a male companion. They were seen dining together with a couple of friends. After they got out of the restaurant, Bridgette Qiao had arranged for a car to escort her friends, while she got into a black car.
Even though this was a group setting and there weren’t any signs of intimate behavior between Bridgette Qiao and her male friend, dating rumors started circulating. Bridgette Qiao shut down the rumors on Weibo and said, “Made me all worked up. The mysterious man with both hands in his pockets is my biological younger brother!”
Bridgette Qiao also left a comment on her post, saying, “I didn’t think much of it. When I saw the video, I felt so inferior, I wanted to go back and hit him.” Good friend, Yang Zi (杨紫), responded to her comment, saying, “Didn’t you brag everyday saying your status is really high in your family? Didi (younger brother) is afraid of being spoiled by his jiejie (older sister). Looking at this, it doesn’t seem to be the case!”
