“CHUANG 2021” (创造营 2021) trainee, Oscar, has been known to everyone as Oscar, Oscar Wang, or the pinyin (romanization) of his name, “Ao Si Ka (ASK, 奥斯卡)”. Even before his debut and on prior shows, he was referred to as just Oscar or “Ao Si Ka” (奥斯卡). His Chinese name has been a mystery.
On April 5, Oscar finally revealed his Chinese name to the “CHUANG 2021” staff members, but it seems like he quickly regretted it after letting it be known. His Chinese name is Wang Zhengxiong (王政熊). Why was he reluctant to reveal it? Well the “Xiong” (熊) in his name actually means bear. So the staff members started teasing him and asking him how he would feel after netizens find out he is “Xiong ge” (older brother).
Oscar started getting hysterical and said, “No, they can’t. This isn’t my real name. That is a fake name. It’s a stage name.” A staff member responds back, “Fans are now saying, ‘Xiong Xiong charge!’.” Oscar screams, “Won’t do!!!! This name won’t do!!! I am really going crazy!” The staff members continue teasing Oscar by calling him, “Xiong Xiong”. He screams, “Don’t!!!!! Answer-jiejies, please don’t give me names like ‘Xiao Xiong’ (Little Bear), ‘Xiong Xiong’ (Bear Bear), or ‘A-Xiong’. Answer-jiejies, I beg you guys!”
The name has gone viral since it was revealed. AK (刘彰) revealed on his live that only him and Hu Yetao (胡烨韬) knew about his name, Wang Zhengxiong. He said, “Xiong-ge’s situation, only Tao Tao and I on this island know about it. When they were filming the reaction or something at the door. Wang Zhengxiong, that dummy, was screaming too loud. I heard everything. He was shouting loudly. Only Tao Tao and I on the entire island know about it. Afterwards, I pinky sweared with him and said I will absolutely not mention this incident with anyone on the island. However, off the island, it probably went viral already. I heard it went viral. The whole world knows about it.”
