INTO1 member, Lin Mo (林墨), was at event on May 16 where the stage was very slippery causing a female staff member to slip when she went on stage. A gif showing Lin Mo laughing at the female staff member falling went viral on Weibo. Lin Mo was criticized for not helping the female staff member and also laughing at her fall.
At 1:05 am on May 17, Lin Mo issued an apology on Weibo saying: “Sorry to today’s staff member! Sorry to everyone! I am deeply aware of the mistake in my behavior! My impolite behavior put other people in a very embarrassing situation. Truly sorry, really sorry! I have already asked a staff member to contact this staff member-jiejie (older sister). I hope to personally apologize to her: ‘Sorry!’ Hope you can forgive me! This was not my intention! Really! As a public figure, I didn’t set a good example! Really shouldn’t! I will correct it in the future, really correct it well! In the future, this type of impolite behavior will definitely never happen again! Sorry!”
Some fans explained that Lin Mo had also slipped in the same spot when he went on stage earlier and was most likely laughing that it happened again and not at the staff member slipping. During the live stream of the event, Lin Mo was reportedly seen asking if the female staff member was okay after the accident happened. Aside from that, Lin Mo was also very polite and courteous to the same staff member when he received the mic from her and returned it back to her.
