WayV’s Lucas (黄旭熙) announced he would be suspending his work activities in his apology for his scandal surrounding his dating life last month. This also happened during a sensitive time in the Chinese entertainment industry where “immoral or tainted celebrities” wouldn’t be tolerated to continue working in the industry.
On September 10, the Korean media reported that Lucas’ itinerary to fly from Seoul to Shanghai was canceled. Aside from Lucas’ schedule, it’s reported WayV had plans to return to China in October for some events. Those activities have also been canceled. There have been no new dates for WayV’s return to China.
Lucas and Hendery were set to release and promote their single, “Jalapeno”, on August 25, but it was canceled after Lucas’ scandal.
