On November 24, Xiao Zhan’s (肖战) studio issued a statement through the Shanghai Jiuze Law Firm denying malicious rumors surrounding his dating and personal life that have been circulating recently. The studio is taking legal action against the rumor starters and have asked for them to immediately stop the spread of those rumors and to delete their posts. The law firm will continue to collect evidence and seek legal accountability.
The law firm also posted a case briefing expressing that they have already filed lawsuits against the Weibo users that have infringed on Xiao Zhan’s rights. They listed the user IDs and are asking the courts to order Weibo to release the real identities of those users according to the law. They are also asking the courts to order the violators to apologize, pay damages for emotional damage and all legal fees, and assume legal responsibility for their actions.
