Fans of hit 2021 Chinese drama, “You Are My Glory” (你是我的荣耀), and on-screen couple, Yang Yang (杨洋) and Dilraba (迪丽热巴), were treated with a reunion of their favorite on-screen couple. On February 2, the second day of the Lunar New Year, the annual China Internet Audio-visual Ceremony (2022中国网络视听年度盛典) was aired. Yang Yang and Dilraba were among several guests like Yang Mi, Xiao Zhan, Victoria Song, Allen Ren Jialun, and more at the pre-recorded event.
One of the major highlights was seeing Yang Yang and Dilraba perform the “You Are My Glory” opening theme song, “Fireworks of Stars” (烟火星辰), sung by Liu Yuning. The performance was a tribute to all aerospace workers.
Prior to the actual show airing, Tencent had already released BTS clips of Yang Yanga and Dilraba recording their performance. There was also a BTS clip of Yang Yang, Yang Mi, and Dilraba chatting during filming.
Due to the buzz of Yang Yang and Dilraba reuniting in such an epic fashion, their CP name, “YangDi” was even trending at the number 1 spot on February 2.
It was very lovely. Not perfect, I think they prepared it in hurry and obviously live perfomance with duet vocals, so cudos for very lovely treat for drama fans.
