Tang Wei (汤唯) married her Korean director husband, Kim Tae-yong, in 2014. They met on the set of the 2009 film, “Late Autumn”, where Kim Tae-yong directed Tang Wei. They reportedly began dating in 2013. Tang Wei gave birth to their daughter, Summer, in 2016. Since then, she has been living in South Korea with her husband and daughter. However, it was reported Tang Wei had brought back Summer to China to live since September 2021, sparking marital discord rumors in their marriage.
Tang Wei had appeared at an event in China back in September 2021. It was rumored that she had brought her daughter with her to live in Beijing. When interviewed by the media, she said, “I will return to China to build a comfortable home and then enjoy life well.” During her birthday in October, she was only seen celebrating with her daughter and father.
When the media contacted Tang Wei’s manager on the rumors, they responded, “She and her husband are very happy. She is even dubbing for her husband’s movie right now. The whole family is very well.” As for why Tang Wei returned to live in China, they said, “Sorry, no comment.”
