TVB held its 55th Anniversary Light Switching Ceremony (無綫電視55周年台慶亮燈儀式) on September 26 to introduce the upcoming anniversary series and variety shows and to hand out presents to artists. The first row was occupied by important executives and people like Eric Tsang (曾志偉) and Liza Wang (汪明荃). The second row included Priscilla Wong (黃翠如), Benjamin Yuen (袁偉豪), Alex Fong (方力申), Jeannie Chan (陳瀅), and more. Joel Chan (陳山聰) and Natalie Tong (唐詩詠) took the center spotlight in the second row despite rumors of her leaving the company.

The Beauty of War (美麗戰場) airs on October 3
“The Beauty of War (美麗戰場)” is said to be the Hong Kong version of K-Drama, “Penthouse”. It stars Jeannie Chan (陳瀅), Moon Lau (劉佩玥), Hera Chan (陳曉華), Angel Chiang (蔣家旻), and Joel Chan (陳山聰). The storyline revolves around three good friends who later drift further apart due to jealousy, competitiveness, revenge and more as they go traverse through the “battlefield” of the pageant world, the entertainment industry, and marrying into wealth.
Get On A Flat (下流上車族) airs on October 17
Followed by “The War of Beauties”, comes “Get On A Flat (下流上車族)”. The series stars Andrew Lam (林敏驄), Elena Kong (江美儀), Nina Paw Hee-Ching, Rosita Kwok (郭柏妍), and Yuki Law (羅毓儀). The storyline revolves around the lengths people go through to reach their dream of buying a home in Hong Kong’s expensive housing market.
I’ve Got The Power (超能使者) airs on October 31
“I’ve Got The Power (超能使者)” stars Ruco Chan (陳展鵬), Natalie Tong (唐詩詠), Joel Chan (陳山聰), Tiffany Lau (劉穎鏇), and Moon Lau (劉佩玥). The theme focuses on supernatural heroes. The storyline revolves around five people from the lowest rungs of society that become street heroes to save their neighborhood.
Treasure of Destiny (新四十二章) airs on November 14
The last TVB anniversary series this year is “Treasure of Destiny (新四十二章)”, which stars Moses Chan (陳豪), Katy Kung (龔嘉欣), Kaman Kong (江嘉敏), Kalok Chow (周嘉洛), Zoie Tam (譚凱琪), and more. The storyline revolves around 5 people from different backgrounds with supernatural abilities. Each person has their own ulterior motives. They use their own supernatural abilities and expertise to embark on a treasure hunt for a long rumored treasure called “Forty-two Chapters”.
