TVB actor, Mat Yeung (楊明), has been in prison since December 22, 2022 after his appeal was dismissed by a judge for his 2020 careless driving case. Mat Yeung was ordered to immediately serve his 18 day sentence at the Lai Chi Kok Reception Centre after the hearing. Then on the 8th day, Mat Yeung is to be transferred to the Stanley Prison to finish his sentence on January 8.
According to the visitation rules, Mat Yeung is allowed two family and friends visits. Oriental Daily News reported that Mat Yeung’s girlfriend, Lisa Ch’ng (莊思明), and TVB artist, Derek Wong (黃建東), were seen visiting Mat Yeung, a few days ago. The visit lasted around 15 minutes.
After the visits were over, Mat Yeung was escorted back to his prison cell. He was spotted wearing the brown prison outfit and according to Oriental Daily News, Mat Yeung seemed to be in good spirits and walked with his head high.
