Hong Kong actor, Kim Li Wai Kin (李偉健), famous for his role as “Terry” in the “Come Home Love” (愛·回家) series, finally got married today with his non-industry girlfriend of over fifteen years. The role of “Terry” is so popular that people nowadays think Kim Li Wai Kin’s name is really “Terry” and call him by that name too. The “Come Home Love – Lo and Behold” (愛·回家之開心速遞) family were also in attendance. Mandy Lam (林淑敏) and Jack Hui (許家傑) also served as the emcees of the night.
Kim Li Wai Kin, who is also a very talented manga artist, designed a pair of cartoons of him and his wife that was displayed at the banquet hall. He also revealed his wife is a bit shy, but they kissed a bit under the request of the media. Kim Li Wai Kin and his wife dated for over ten years and he thought it was time to get married. He says, “Today, we picked up the bride and had the wedding banquet. Marriage registration will take place in November or December because we missed the deadline to hand in the forms.” Kim Li Wai Kin also reveals picking up the bride was very smooth because his groomsmen took the brunt of the pranks. He also hopes to have kids one or two years later.
The youngest of the groomsmen, who also served as the flower boy, Kalok Chow (周嘉洛) says, “No one cared about my feelings. I will have kidney disease soon. This morning I had to drink sweet, sour, bitter, and spicy beverages. I was most afraid of drinking salty flavor. The whole day I was in the bathroom with a stomachache.” As for William Hu Wai Hong (胡渭康), who was once rumored to be “brokeback” with Kim Li Wai Kin jokes, “I feel a little bad because I had work this morning and I couldn’t help pick up the bride. So tonight I performed Leslie Cheung’s “For Your Heart Only” (為妳鍾情) for my rumored boyfriend.”
