Hong Kong actor, Daniel Wu (吳彥祖), who has been focusing his career in Hollywood the past few years, made a surprise appearance at the 38th Annual Hong Kong Film Awards on April 14th. Besides Daniel Wu, his co-stars from the 1998 movie, “Gen-X Cops”, including Nicholas Tse (謝霆鋒), Stephen Fung (馮德倫), and Sam Lee (李璨琛), were also there to present the award for “Best Visual Effects”.
Daniel Wu also posted a picture of the mini reunion with his three co-stars on Instagram, reminiscing about their 20 year friendship. He asked if fans wanted to see another “Gen-X Cops” film. Aside from his co-stars, Daniel Wu also reunited with his “Love Undercover” (新紮師妹) co-star and old friend, Miriam Yeung (楊千嬅) backstage. Miriam Yeung commented on the picture and asked Daniel Wu to come back to Hong Kong to make good movies. She also posted a picture of Daniel Wu on her page and said:
“The happiest surprise was seeing my “old lover, “Au Hoi Man” (歐海文). We’ve known each other for over 20 years. Even though he spends most of his time in the US now, he has always been very hardworking and persistent about his career. He even became a producer. His show, “Into the Badlands” is very exciting. Seeing the whole crew’s efforts and hard work put into the filming process is worth everyone’s support. I hope and look forward to him coming back to film more Hong Kong movies. We miss you. Hope we have a chance to work together again.”
