Everyone was looking forward to Raymond Lam’s return to TVB when it was announced he would be filming “Line Walker 3” (使徒行者3) a few months ago. This time, the story combines characters from the first and second series. Raymond Lam (林峯), Kenneth Ma (馬國明), Benz Hui (許紹雄), and Pakho (周柏豪) Chau are all reprising their characters for the third installment. The series started filming in mid August. However, there are reports today that Pakho Chau, who has a starring role, had already finished filming all his scenes in a month.

There are speculations that Pakho Chau’s recent scandal regarding a post he made about politics angered a lot of mainland Chinese netizens. As a result of the backlash, some of his work was already impacted and he declined interviews whenever he attended an event. To quell the uproar, he published a post on Weibo that he was not rooting for “Hong Kong independence” and that he loved his country. He also cleared out all the posts on his IG. Chinese netizens didn’t seem to buy it. Because of this scandal, there are rumors going around that Pakho Chau’s screen time, including scenes with his on screen partner, Priscilla Wong (黃翠如), were reduced, diminishing his starring role.

Pakho Chau, who plays Benz Hui’s right hand man in the series, should have a lot of screen time. Now that it’s rumored Pakho Chau’s screen time was reduced, it’s speculated his scenes are being appropriated to Benz Hui, instead of finding another person to replace him. When hk01.com mentioned this to Benz Hui, he responded, “I don’t know. They haven’t filmed my scenes recently.” Producers of the show haven’t responded to this rumor either.
