Fans rejoiced when Raymond Lam (林峯) announced he was returning to TVB back in March of this year. At the press conference, he also announced they would be filming “Line Walker 2” (使徒行者3). There are recent reports that the series will finally start filming in August. Aside from the main cast members from the previous installments, such as Raymond Lam, Michael Miu (苗僑偉), and Benz Hui (許詔雄), returning, the rest of the cast hasn’t been determined yet.
Charmaine Sheh (佘詩曼) who was the female lead in the first installment will not be returning due to prior commitments. There have been several speculations on the female lead, such as Ali Lee (李佳芯) and Sisley Choi (蔡思貝). However, the latest rumors are stating Raymond Lam handpicked Serene Lim (林宣妤), the 2017 Miss Chinese International first runner up, to be the female lead.
Serene Lim hails from Malaysia. She signed with TVB in 2018 after winning first runner up and subsequently joined the TVB artist training program in the same year. She has filmed two series, “Girlie Days” (她她她的少女時代), which is set to air soon and “Al Cappuccino” (極道怪咖). She was a hot favorite to take the title that year and was even labeled as a mix of “Karena Ng (吳千語) and Angelababy.”
When hk01.com reporters reached out to Serene Lim about the female lead rumors, she responded, “I will have scene with Raymond Lam! I will be portraying a Chinese medicine doctor who works at a foot reflexology store.” When asked if she is taking over Charmaine Sheh’s role to be the female lead, Serene Lim responds, “Not the female lead. But it’s not convenient to divulge more now. I already did my research. I attended one class on massage.” As for the female lead, Serene Lim says she can’t divulge, but says Sisley Choi is part of the cast.
