Congratulations are in order for Tavia Yeung (楊怡) and Him Law (羅仲謙) as the couple announced they are expecting their first child on Instagram today! The couple met in 2012 while filming the TVB series, “The Hippocratic Crush” (On Call 36小時). After dating for four years, they got married in 2016. Many people didn’t think their relationship would last as Tavia Yeung is 5 years older than Him Law and had a more successful career than him at the time.

Since getting married, Tavia Yeung has only filmed, “Another Era” (再創世紀). She cut down her work load and was preparing her body in order to get pregnant. In addition, Him Law returned to film for TVB last year in hopes to stay in Hong Kong and carry out their baby making plans.

Back in January, she posted a picture of a big and small version of the Lotso bear, making many suspect whether she was hinting at her pregnancy. However, Him Law clarified the set of dolls were to make Tavia Yeung happy and said, “Everyone is thinking too much.” Fast forward to a month later, the couple confirmed their pregnancy and both posted the same message on Instagram:

“Our fate started from a series. From colleagues to friends, from friends to lovers, from lovers to mates. From today onwards, we have a new identity. Thankful to the heavens for giving us such a precious gift. There will be a new lightbulb joining us. Baby, wishing you will light up our lives in the coming days. Wishing our days to come to be happy and fortunate…Thank you for choosing me. We love you. Our whole family is looking forward to your arrival.”
They also revealed Him Law’s initial reaction when he found out he was going to be father. He said, “Don’t be messing around. Did you confirm with the doctor yet?” Tavia Yeung also shared the first time she heard the baby’s heartbeat sounded like a train passing by. She also wished everyone a happy valentine’s day.
According to Oriental Daily News, Tavia Yeung is six months pregnant and due to give birth in March.
