Congratulations are in order for Fala Chen (陳法拉) as she announced the birth of her daughter on Valentine’s Day. Fala Chen, who is based in New York now, made the surprise announcement on Valentine’s Day around 10:30 am Hong Kong time. The 39 year old Fala Chen wed her husband, Emmanuel Straschnov, in May 2019 in France.

This was a surprise as Fala Chen never announced her pregnancy nor were there rumors or pictures suggesting she was with child. Aside from a picture of the family of three, she also posted a picture during her pregnancy.
Fala Chen spoke with Hong Kong news outlet, Oriental Daily News, and revealed “Little Minnie” was born at the end of the Year of the Rat. It was a natural birth and said “Minnie” has deep dimples like her mother. Fala Chan also expressed, “Thank you everyone for your blessings. I’m a first time mommy, so I am very busy. Hope there is a chance to see everyone soon. Also wish everyone is healthy in the Year of the Ox.”
