Taiwanese Drama, Someday or One Day, is Getting a Korean Remake

Taiwanese series, “Someday or One Day” (想見你), was a major hit throughout Asia. The series catapulted male leads, Greg Hsu and Patrick Shih, to global recognition. The series was a particular hit in South Korea. Aside from the series, the theme song, “Miss You 3000”, sung by 831, was a big hit in China that sparked many covers and performances by celebrities like Liu Yuxin and Karry Wang. The song was also covered by Minhyun of K-Pop group, NU’EST.

On February 22, the Korean media reported “Someday or One Day” will be getting a Korean adaptation. It’s reported there was an intense fight for the copyrights to remake the series amongst Korean broadcasting stations. In the end, the series will be jointly produced by npioe and Lian Contents.

Many Chinese fans left comments for their dream casting and the recently discharged Lee Jong-suk was their frontrunner to play “Li Ziwei”. Park Seo-joon came in as the favorite among Chinese fans to play second male lead, “Mo Junjie”, as they felt he looked very similar to Patrick Shih, who played the character. As for Alice Ko’s “Huang Yuxuan”, many Chinese fans have called for IU and Park Shin-hye to reprise her role.
