Linda Chung Turns Down Offer to Film Sequel to “Kids’ Lives Matter”

The Hong Kong Entertainment Expo 2022 was recently held. TVB introduced a whole line up of upcoming series. One of the series they are looking to film is a sequel to last year’s “Kids’ Lives Matter” (星空下的仁醫). The series earned Linda Chung (鍾嘉欣) a “Favorite TVB Actress” award from Malaysia audiences and netizens’ “Best Actress”. However, it has been reported Linda Chung won’t be returning for the sequel.

It seems TVB will be using a new storyline and a new cast for the sequel that is set to start filming in July. A producer of the series said they are currently in discussions about the series and need to work on the storyline first.

Linda Chung told the media that she turned down the offer as she and her husband discussed it and decided she will be taking a break this year to focus on taking care of her family. Kevin Cheng (鄭嘉穎) also responded the producer contacted him, but as he has a few work projects he’s currently discussing, he has to check his schedule. As it’ll be a new storyline, Kevin Cheng said he would have to consider whether the character is suitable for him.

  1. Why don’t they just call it a new name if it’s going to be new characters… they’re always trying to ride on the wave of the previous show when they have nothing to do with each other. Armed Reaction 4 was more like a cross over than a sequel. Don’t even get me started with the insane amounts of Forensic Heroes..
