For those who grew up watching Hong Kong cinema near the end of it’s heyday (mid to late 2000’s), you should have seen the hilarious “Love Undercover” (新紮師妹), which starred the muli-talented Miriam Yeung (楊千嬅) and bodacious Daniel Wu (吳彥祖). The movie became a hit, spanning two, albeit not that good, sequels, and bringing popularity to the stellar supporting cast such as Benz Hui (許紹雄) and Raymond Wong (黃浩然).

Miriam Yeung Reveals Real Ting Has Told Her to Get Work Done on Her Face
A few months ago, TVB announced Miriam was “returning home” to film a series called “Wonder Women” (多功能老婆). Miriam hasn’t filmed a TVB series since 2001’s “A Taste of Love” (美味情緣). The series reunites her with her “Love Undercover” co-stars, Raymond Wong and Benz Hui. Miriam and Raymond even retain their names from “Love Undercover”, while Benz really becomes her father in the series. However, the sad news is she ends up with another multi-talented singer and actor, Pakho Chau (周柏豪) in the series, but we will have scenes of Raymond and Miriam act as a couple before she gets with Pakho.

We no longer have to anticipate as TVB finally released the trailer! It already feels familiar seeing how similar Miriam’s character is to “Kuen” in “Love Undercover.” It’ll also be refreshing to see Miriam partner up with Pakho. Unfortunately, we’ll have to wait until 2019 to see the series, but the trailer is a nice preview for what to expect.

I can’t wait for this series! Love Undercover 1 & 2 were funny. Too bad Miriam doesn’t end up with Raymond Wong 🙁
