One of TVB’s anniversary series, “Life on the Line” (跳躍生命線), airs on October 8 in Hong Kong. The series stars veteran actor, Joe Ma (馬德鐘), accompanied by a bunch of second tier actors, Matthew Ho (何廣沛), Joey Law (羅天宇), Kelly Cheung (張曦雯), Moon Lau (劉佩玥), and Jeannie Chan (陳瀅). The theme of the series focuses on the lives and work of paramedics. It is reported nine months was spent doing research and preparation for the series. About 80% of the cases are based on real life events, leaving no shortage of tears.

Ali Lee Makes a Cameo
Joe Ma portrays the head of a paramedics team and is very serious at work. In life, he is actually a sweet man. He has a very happy marriage and family with his wife, portrayed by Ali Lee (李佳芯) in a cameo, and their daughter. Unfortunately Ali Lee’s character dies due to a drunk driver crashing into her and leaves the scene, leaving her to die. Later on, he gets paired up with 2012 Miss Chinese International, Kelly Cheung as a couple.

Same Class as Flora Chan
Kelly Cheung’s character is a tomboy-ish girl that works at a car shop and drives a motorcycle, so she went to the United States to learn. She reveals, “I went to the US and found my cousin to teach me how to ride a motorcycle. He taught me for a few nights and I borrowed a friend’s Harley Davidson to drive.” As for getting praise from the producer and having the same class as Flora Chan (陳慧珊) , Kelly Cheung says, “This time my scenes are intense. I have some stress too and I’m definitely happy about being like Flora Chan. I hope I have a good relationship with the public, just like she does.

Going from Enemies to Lovers

Matthew Ho and Moon Lau are both paramedics and go from enemies to lovers. Moon Lau and Jeannie Chan learned how to ride a motorcycle for the series. As for Matthew Ho, he was arranged by the producer to get training for four days. He spent ten hours training everyday in the hot summer heat, making it extremely difficult.
Joey Law: I am Joe Ma’s supervisor.
As for Joey Law, he portrays Joe Ma’s supervisor. This is Joey Law’s most important character to date. He did a lot of preparation work and even spent four months losing 20 pounds. Because of stress, he also grew a lot of white hair. Joey Law said his biggest challenge was actually facing Joe Ma, “I am his supervisor, but his presence is very strong. Thankfully, my character really respects him.”
