The first season was focused on producing a female idol group, which eventually debuted as “Rocket Girls 101.” However, the second season will now be a male idol group survival reality show. The Chinese name for season 2 has also changed from “創造101” to “創造營2019,” which roughly translates to “Produce Camp 2019.” No word on whether the English name will stay the same.

Tencent created the official Weibo account for “Produce 101 2” today and uploaded a poster for the show, but didn’t provide any further details. Previously, it was announced Uyghur actress, Dilraba (迪丽热巴), would be headlining the show.
