On a recent episode of Chinese reality show, “Viva La Romance 3” (妻子的浪漫旅行3), Miriam Yeung (楊千嬅) gets emotional talking about Real Ting (丁子高) and people’s misconceptions about him being a kept man. She mentioned someone once said he was unemployed so he has to help his wife with the concerts, allowing her to support him. Miriam Yeung defended her husband while tearing up, saying, “This isn’t even true. He rather turn down his company’s projects and spend time to help me fulfill my dreams.”

Miriam Yeung also revealed how they watched a male K-Pop group’s concert in South Korea four years ago and she felt she wouldn’t be able to use her Cantonese songs to have a concert tour with that stage presence. At the time, Real Ting told her, “Why not? I’ll help you set it up.” In the end, Real Ting backed up his words with action and successfully helped Miriam Yeung hold an 80+ concert tour.
In addition to helping with her career, Miriam Yeung revealed how Real Ting had to carry a lot of the stress because of her. He would apologize to her and say he didn’t do well enough even when she was the one who was throwing a tantrum. She expressed, “Even if we had nothing and only had a pair of hands left, he would be willing to carry me, so I am sure I didn’t choose the wrong person.”
