“Datuk’s daughter”, Jacquelin Ch’ng (莊思敏), is getting married to her Taiwanese CEO boyfriend, Brian, after only dating for less than a year. The 39 year old actress announced she was dating Brian last September. He is said to be the CEO of a Taiwanese bubble milk tea establishment. Oriental Daily News discovered their marriage application was submitted on February 14, which listed Brian’s occupation as a company CEO. Both of them listed “The Peak” as their address.

Jacquelin Ch’ng Marries Taiwanese Boyfriend in Simple Wedding at Home
Oriental Daily News interviewed Jacquelin Ch’ng after the news of her marriage was published. She revealed her boyfriend had actually proposed around August or October. She couldn’t really remember the exact month. Jacquelin Ch’ng shared, “At that time, we were vacationing in Phuket. It turns out my boyfriend had already gathered his friends to set it up. At one point, he suddenly told me to go to the spa. While I was at the spa, he was setting it up with our friends. After I was done, he went down on one knee holding a bunch of flowers and the ring to propose. I was really surprised. I suddenly saw all his friends there, but only saw two of mine. My sisters didn’t even know.”
When asked why he proposed after dating for less than three months, Jacquelin Ch’ng responded, “It was about time. He really treats me well, very attentive, honest, filial, getting along well is the most important.” Jacquelin Ch’ng reveals her parents are very satisfied with Brian. As for their wedding date, she didn’t reveal it, but did say that they won’t be having a big wedding in Hong Kong, Malaysia, nor Taiwan. Jacquelin Ch’ng expressed she didn’t want to do a big party as she doesn’t want to be bothered or spend too much time preparing for it.
