The other queen of Taiwanese pop music, Elva Hsiao (蕭亞軒), has finally updated her social media accounts after being out of the limelight since May.  Elva has been quiet for the past few months due to rumors of her contracting a “weird sickness” that gives her massive headaches, high fevers, and loss of her voice.  As a result of this, she had to temporarily halt her activities, including canceling a world tour.

The last time Elva was active on social media was on May 6.  This was her last post before she took a break.  

After 144 days of inactivity and no updates from her, Elva finally updated Instagram with the following post and caption:

Elvia was originally scheduled to have a concert in China during Aril.  She had to suddenly cancel the concert.  Later, it was revealed she want to LA in 2017 to train on dancing.  Perhaps she overworked herself and caused unnecessary stress that led to her vocal cards getting infected.  There was no improvement after seeing so many doctors.  The constant fevers also affected her energy.  Adding on to the painful headaches, her company decided to let her rest and recover.

Her manager, Isaac Chen (陳鎮川), also instructed his staff to protect Elva’s privacy so she could recover in peace.  He also revealed in May that Elva was already at home recuperating, but she was still in the process of taking Chinese medicine to nurse herself back to health.  Her update has left fans extremely excited and wondering if she is getting ready for a comeback.
