Angelababy's Husband and Ex-Boyfriend Missed Out on Opportunity to Work Together

Producer, Yu Zheng (于正), of popular Qing dynasty series, “Story of Yanxi Palace” (延禧攻略), announced he’s working on a new series.  It’s said the same crew and behind the scenes staff from “Yanxi” will also be working on the series.  It was rumored Angelababy’s husband, Huang Xiaoming (黃曉明) and her ex-boyfriend, William Chan (陳偉霆), were in talks to join the cast.  Unfortunately, William Chan’s manager has confirmed the actor won’t be joining the series due to scheduling conflicts, while Huang Xiaoming is still discussing the terms with the production company.

William Chan and Angelababy dated years ago in Hong Kong before the two became mega superstar celebrities.  It is said the two started dating after  hosting a Disney television special and even prompted the two to get matching couple tattoos.  When Angelababy shifted her career to China, she became an immediate success and even met her husband, Huang Xiaoming while working together on a film.  At that time, William Chan was still not seeing much progress in his career in Hong Kong.  It was even rumored Angelababy left William Chan for the more popular Huang Xiaoming.  When Huang Xiaoming was asked about these rumors, he said, “I don’t know who William Chan is.”

In the end Angelababy and William Chan broke up in 2009.  She married Huang Xiaoming in 2015 and have a one year old son nicknamed “Little Sponge.”  While William Chan dated labelmate, Charlene Choi of Twins, but eventually broke up.  Five years ago, William Chan shifted his career in China and became an instant celebrity though series, “Swords of Legends.”  Since then, he’s been getting cast as male leads and can definitely be considered A-list amongst the likes of Huang Xiao Ming.  He even landed in the 21st spot on the 2017 Forbes’ China Celebrity list, raking in 120 million RMB.  I’m pretty sure Huang Xiaoming knows who William Chan is now, even if he doesn’t want to admit it.
