Divorce rumors have been rampant lately for China’s A-list celebrity couple, Huang Xiaoming (黄晓明) and Angelababy (杨颖). The couple married in 2015 and had a son, nicknamed “Little Sponge” (小海綿), in 2017. Due to their busy work schedules, the two haven’t been seen together as often as they used to, spurring on the divorce rumors.
Yesterday, there was a screenshot of a chat dialogue going viral that stated Huang Xiaoming and Angelababy were going to officially announce their divorce on July 2. Angelababy’s manager immediately refuted the rumors and said, “It’s too fake!” Huang Xiaoming’s team also refuted the rumors later on saying they are completely false and warned they will be taking legal action if this happens again. Huang Xiaoming upped the ante about their marital status today when he responded to a netizen’s comment on his post.
The netizen said, “I like you and Baby (Angelababy)!” Huang Xiaoming responded back, “Thank you, I also like Baby (Angelababy).”

It was also reported Huang Xiaoming and Angelababy left separately after the event was over, garnering curiosity among netizens about their relationship. Aside from this, there have been a few occasions where netizens captured photos and videos of Angelababy bringing “Little Sponge” to play, but Huang Xiaoming is absent in these events.
