Qin Lan (秦嵐) arrived in Taiwan on November 1st to promote “Story of Yanxi Palace” with co-stars, Wu Jinyan (吳謹言) and Xu Kai (許凱). The trio attended a fan meeting where over 340 fans were in attendance to see a glimpse of their idols. Qin Lan expressed regret and said, “I am sorry to you for not being able to visit Taiwan often. I also see a lot of fans that have been followng me for years. You guys will always be my support.”

When talking about her fans, Qin Lan appeared teary eyed. She was also grateful the fans at the airport were orderly. She says, “Once I got off the plane, there were already people waiting for me. I am very happy. Some fans were already here since 2 or 3 in the morning and even since last night to camp out at the airport. They were very quiet and orderly, making me very touched.”

At the fan meeting, the emcee, Heaven Hai (海裕芬), also taught Wu Jinyan how to pout. Wu Jinyan quickly said it was very hard to do, but was still able to do it after Heaven Hai demonstrated it to her. Xu Kai, who was next to her said, “What are you doing?” Qin Lan also says she doesn’t really know how to pout, which Heaven Hai says this is also a form of pouting.

It was also reported Xu Kai was very sweet and warm to his fans, breaking his normal image of being cold and distant. He also made the fans very happy when he loudly laughed into the microphone at a joke Heaven Hai made to a fan. Heaven Hai asked the fan what her name was, the fan replied, “February.” Then Heaven Hai goes, “It’s already November, what are we going to do?” Heaven Hai then told Xu Kai he didn’t need to laugh so hard through the microphone. Xu Kai said he forgot to put the microphone down and it startled Qin Lan a bit.
