With TVB blacklisting Jessica Kan from attending promotional events, it’s believed to be her management company’s ongoing lawsuit with TVB that is dragging her down. Jessica Kan’s former label mate, Chrissie Chau (周秀娜), also experienced the same treatment when she was missing from the “Deep in the Realm of Conscience” (深宮計2宮心計) promotions. A few months ago, Chrissie Chau sued her management company, GME Holdings Limited, for backpay and violating terms of their contract.

She says, “Even though I don’t have any series at the moment, I still have two series that haven’t aired yet.” When asked if she is worried about this impacting her income, she says, “Not yet. I still have work when I attend functions.” On whether she will sign with TVB, she says, “I can’t say anything yet. But I like to act and film, as for singing, whatever happens, happens.”
