TVB’s hit supernatural thriller, “Barrack O’Karma” (金宵大廈) is getting a lot of rave reviews from the public. Many are saying Selena Lee (李施嬅), who plays “Alex” and “Coco” in the series, is owed a Best Actress award. The series is definitely a breath of fresh air from past TVB series and crosses a lot of boundaries. The latest storyline revolves around the lesbian relationship between two night club girls from the ’60s, “Sa Sa”, played by Chloe Nguyen (阮兒), and “Fong Fong”, played by Nicole Wan (尹詩沛).
“Sa Sa” and “Fong Fong” fake “Sa Sa’s” death in order to run away and escape from “Dog Keung”, played by Dickson Li (李家聲). After they decide to escape, they kiss in the rain and express they want to be together forever, but unfortunately, “Dog Keung” finds them.
He tortures and rapes them to force them to reveal the whereabouts of the stolen goods. After witnessing “Fong Fong” being killed, “Sa Sa” commits suicides and hexes “Dog Keung” a tortuous death.
Chloe Nguyen spoke to hk01.com about the “sheshe” scenes with Nicole Wan, she expressed, “I’ve never filmed intimate scenes with a girl before. Luckily Nicole Wan and I are good sisters. So it doesn’t feel awkward nor would I resist it. But the feeling of kissing a girl is really different. It’s like kissing myself.” When asked if she told her boyfriend, Michael Wai (衛志豪), about the kiss scene ahead of time, she said, “No, but after he watched the scene, he felt I didn’t love Nicole Wan enough, said we weren’t extreme enough. Nicole Wan and I have filmed bed scenes before. Our relationship is pretty funny.”
