Ever since Simon Yam (任达华) was stabbed multiple times in China back in July, he has been resting to recover from his injuries. He had already returned to work last month, attending a promotional event for his movie, “Little Q” (小Q). However, it seems Simon Yam can’t seem to stay put for too long as he was recently spotted in the streets of Melbourne, Australia, filming for something. As it turns out, he was filming for the variety show, “Feel The World” (慢游全世界), with his “son”, Johnny Huang Jingyu (黄景瑜).
The two first collaborated in the Chinese series, “The Thunder” (破冰行动), where the two played father and son. However, it was a tragic ending as Simon Yam’s character dies in the series. Now that the two reunited for this variety, it’s definitely a happy reunion.
Johnny Huang Jingyu first teased the reunion by posting a picture with Simon Yam and the caption, “This time, son and dad won’t be fighting. Us two will be wandering about.” Simon Yam also posted, “The words that weren’t said, let’s say it quietly today then. Son, let’s go wander.”
A promotional clip of their reunion was also filmed for the show. They are seen greeting each other with a simple hello. Johnny Huang Jingyu then says, “Let’s go wander.”, to which Simon Yam agrees. It looks like the two will rekindle their on-screen chemistry as father and son for “Feel The World”.

Even though Simon Yam is out and about, he doesn’t seem to be fully recovered yet as there were candid pictures of him with his hand brace lying around.
